Ram’s Nest/Robin’s Farm/Tugley Farm/Gostrode

1. Leave Haslemere (by car) and head for the Petworth road, the A283. At the T Junction turn left towards Chiddingfold, you will shortly pass the Rams’s Nest pub on the right. Just past the Petrol Station, which is virtually next door to the pub, take the road to the right, and park your car at a convenient spot. This road leads to Gostrode Farm, and you will be coming back that way.
2. Look out for a FP sign, at the start side of a house, to the right, follow that to the top of the hill (the path should go across the field, but it has recently been ploughed so it is easier to go round). At the top turn left (if you have walked round the field, then straight on). You are again on the Sussex Border path, and you follow that until you reach the road.
3. Cross the road, and take the FP to the left, ignore the next FP to the left, as the path swings right. Then follow the path along the field side of a copse/wood, and take the first FP to the left. This will take you up to Robin’s Farm, which appears to be mostly to do with horses and polo ponies.
4. Cross the road and follow the path all the way to another minor road, then turn left, and walk along the road about ½ a mile. Where the road swings left, take the FP straight on, and in due course you will reach the edge of Chiddingfold Golf Course. Take a left turn there, and basically you now follow the path all the way back to Gostrode Farm, ignoring all paths to the right and left.
5. Past the farm and back to your car.
