Shillinglee/Gostrode/Tugley/Robin’s Farm.

1. Leave Haslemere past the Lythe Hill Hotel for the Petworth Road/A283. At the T-junction for the A283 turn right and take the first road to the left, signposted to Shillinglee. When the road swings to the right take the left fork. After about half a mile you will see a house on your right and FP signs going both right and left. This is the Sussex Border Path (SBP).
2. Having parked your car in a convenient lay-by, take the SBP to the left, and follow until you take the first right hand turn. This leads down to a road towards Gostrode Farm. Past the farm, follow the signs straight on, ignoring one to the right (this would shorten the walk). You are then going roughly north until you come to the edge of Chiddingfold Golf Course.
3. Turn right there , and when you come to a road, bear left. Follow the road for about 10 minutes past Tugley Farm, and take the first FP right. Do not be tempted to cross a small rustic bridge, but head diagonally for the stile. Across a couple of fields, and you will reach Robin’s Farm.
4. Turn left on the road, and after a few yards follow the FP right. This leads to a T-junction, where you turn right, and again right at the next FP. Follow this to the top of the hill, and you will see that you are back where you started.
