Northchapel/Shillinglee/Frith.
1. A283 in the direction of Petworth, take the first left turn in Northchapel, and park your car in the Northchapel Village Hall Carpark. As you turn into the carpark you will have seen the FP sign pointing left.
2. Follow that path up the hill, it turns right at the top, and take the first FP to the left, it’s a sharp left. You are now in the middle of Frith Wood. At the X-road turn right, and at the next X-road turn left. This will take you via a ford to a T-Junction. There you turn right.
3. This takes you past Eastland Farm, through a copse and then turn left. Follow the wood on your left, until you reach an enclosed nursery area, where you turn right and then left at the bottom of the field.
4. Follow the signs through the copse, across a field, through another small copse to a track, which is just south of Shillinglee Home Farm (you may recognise it from Walk 1). Turn right and follow the signs past Deer Tower and down to Shillinglee Lake.
5. Follow the path, ignoring one to the left, up to Frith Cottage (beautiful garden), and then down to the road. Before the road turns left, take the track to the right, bear left at the next Y-junction, and you will find that you have joined your outward route. Down the hill to your car.
